01Every shell in Mortal Shell 2

Eight shells can be kept permanently. Harros is a ninth, but he is playable only during the prologue and is lost as part of the story — he does not count toward the collection.

None of the eight are missable. After the final boss you stay in free roam, so you can sweep for anything you skipped before entering New Game+.

Smert and Gragu are confirmed to exist and are part of the eight, but we have not been able to verify their exact locations across two independent sources yet. They are marked TBC rather than guessed.

02Which shell should you main?

Tiel is the practical first pick: he is the only shell with no boss or quest attached, so you can claim him almost as soon as Fainweald opens up.

Genessa is worth prioritising for a different reason — she is the one who hands you the Infinite Seal at Marrow Keep, which is what unlocks parrying.

03Shell trophies

There is one trophy per shell, plus the Shell Seeker trophy for finding all of them. Since nothing here is missable, shells are a safe clean-up target late in a playthrough.
