02The two systems that decide everything
Defence in Mortal Shell 2 is not one button. Harden, guard and parry each come from a different seal and do different things, and the break meter rewards using the right one rather than spamming any of them.
Progression runs on Gloom. Once you know where to farm it and which tarstone multiplies it, the difficulty curve flattens considerably.

Fainweald opens up and gives you no direction. This is the order that unblocks the most systems in the least time.
- Mortal Shell 2 How to Parrymortal shell 2 how to parry
Three seals give three different defensive tools. Mixing them up is why the early game feels unfair.

53 trophies, difficulty around 6 out of 10, and roughly 40 to 60 hours to platinum. Three are missable — everything else can wait.
