01Getting to Baghead
Travel to Desolate Peaks on the western side of Fainweald, using the jump teleporter from the Gloomshade Grove beacon.
Baghead is seated on a makeshift throne right near the entrance to the Illusionist's Cache dungeon.
02The sitting step
Speak with him and exhaust his dialogue until he tells you to go sit and be quiet. Then use the interaction prompt to actually sit down among the followers lounging near his throne.
This is the step that stalls the questline for most players — the instruction sounds like flavour text, but it is a literal required action.
03The secret ending
Baghead wants nothing. Give him a Special Moonshine and it triggers a secret ending. Completing his questline unlocks the secret alternative ending along with the hidden Baghead achievement.
04Grab the Crypt Key while you are here
The Crypt Key sits inside the only building in Desolate Peak, directly across from Baghead's throne. Since you are already making the trip, pick it up — it opens the Hall of Echoes dungeon in northern Fainweald.
